Specification:
• Diameter: 1.75 mm
• Net weight: 0.85 kg (without spool)
• Spool weight: 0.213 kg
Recommended printing settings:
• Printing temperature: 260–280 °C
• Bed temperature: 90–110 °C
• Printing speed: 40–250 mm/s (optimal 40–60 mm/s for maximum strength)
• Cooling fan: off (0%) or light airflow (up to 20%) for top layers
• Enclosure temperature: 50–70 °C (if available)
Note about the cooling fan:
ASA is more thermally stable than ABS, but it still requires consistent heat for strong layer adhesion. The best results are achieved with the fan off or running at a minimal speed. When layers do not cool too quickly, parts become stronger and more resistant to cracking. For smoother surfaces, light airflow (up to 20%) can be applied from layer 3–4. A heated enclosure further improves bonding and minimizes warping.
Material properties:
ASA is a high-quality engineering plastic, very similar to ABS but with improved resistance to UV light, weathering, and color fading. Because of these properties, ASA is ideal for parts used outdoors.
It is perfect for functional prototypes, mechanical components, automotive parts, tool holders, enclosures, and other engineering applications where strength and environmental resistance are important.
Tips for stronger ASA prints:
Dry the filament before printing – around 80 °C for 3–4 hours.
Moisture can cause surface defects and reduce layer bonding.
Print slower for better strength – optimal speed is 40–60 mm/s. Higher speeds may reduce layer adhesion.
Use an enclosed or heated chamber to prevent warping and layer separation.
Ensure a strong first layer – PEI surface works best for bed adhesion.
Advantages:
High quality – made in Lithuania (Filacraft)
Precise 1.75 mm diameter
UV and weather resistant
Strong yet slightly flexible plastic that maintains its shape
Can be post-processed (sanding, acetone smoothing)
Fast delivery across Lithuania and the Baltic region
